The month ahead: “October 2023”

October 2023 is in a big way the sum of its parts. There are 4 MAJOR influences and 4 or 5 surrounding influences that help to guide things a bit. The 4 BIG stars of the show are what I’m going to focus on here, because they drive EVERYTHING this month.
The “BIG 4” as I call them are “The 10/10 portal”, “Pluto going direct in Capricorn”, and the 2 eclipses, one a new moon/solar eclipse in the middle of the month, and the other a full moon lunar eclipse at month’s end.
I’m going to just ad-lib this monthly write-up and keep it real simple, rather than spout off a bunch of specific meanings of things. The specifics of the energies will be covered in the month’s readings.
To be clear, I’ve been saying on my reading videos for at least the past month off and on that I hope these runners in particular get their shit together by the 10/10 portal. Because if they haven’t some pretty big Towers are going to fall. In fact if I had to take the energy of October and sum it up into one card, it would be “The Tower”, likely fueled by “The World”. The universe has been sending all of us signs and trying to point us in a direction. That’s come up a few times in readings I’ve done for all of you, like 3 card or Energetic Weather reads etc. The reason we’ve been getting signs be it little aches and pains or new people entering our worlds that differ from past people, or just signs in general that it’s time to move in a new or slightly new direction is because of the combined “BIG 4” energies of October.
This year’s 10/10 portal outshines the other 3 energies in the “BIG 4” by a mile. And those other 3 energies are no slouches. 2023’s 10/10 portal offers all of us a great opportunity. It IS probably the most perfectly balanced 10/10 portal energy that I’ve EVER picked up on. That amazing balance put simply provides an opportunity like never before for the divine feminine and the divine masculine to come together in balance, and balance for the “long-haul”, the “long-term” I might add. This is why The World card has been coming up so much in the readings lately . Which by itself is pretty rare, but the fact we’ve also gotten a lot of Devil’s Towers, i.e. Towers falling on Devils is telling as well.
The 10/10 portal’s opportunity is two-fold. The opportunity is there to rectify or balance the two energies of masculine and feminine within ourselves. And/or external soul connections as well, be them with people or a soul’s true purpose or true path.
To offer some contrast, in my first year out on YouTube I called 2021’s 10/10 portal, “The party at the 10/10”. I called it that in part, describing parents out of town and the kids having a party because it was pretty out of balance for a portal energy that actually represents “balance”. This year’s 10/10 is very different. Mom and Dad are home. And there ain’t no party happening.
Pluto direct in Capricorn adds to the 10/10 energy as it happens directly on top of the peak of the 10/10. What does it add you might ask?? Well when Pluto went retrograde you might remember I pulled a reading that talked about old lessons and things we thought we had learned or covered coming back for review. Again, an opportunity energy to take a second look at things we thought we had figured out or put to bed, just to be sure. Well with Pluto going direct on top of the 10/10 portal I would wager a guess that those who DIDN’T take their second looks are about to have a few Towers land on their head and in the process likely learn a few new lessons. This is all why the readings have had many repeat messages along these lines lately, especially throughout September.
The eclipses this month are both epic reboots. So don’t worry about “The Towers” too much. These eclipses just to summarize are why the towers that might fall don’t really harm us as much as they could. To offer an analogy it’s a little like a parent teaching a child a lesson. You let them fail to a point, and just when they get totally freaked out you step in, point out what they should have learned from the experience and then offer them a second chance. The eclipses are well placed this month, one just after the 10/10 / Pluto storm of balanced energy, and one at the end of the month to lead us into the thin veil of Halloween-time. The eclipses are indeed mom and dad. They offer as I said, a reboot, or maybe better said, a “redo”.
A redo which many of you won’t even need by the way. Some kids do everything right and study and go on to Harvard and thrive in life. lol. My point is those who have looked at those things that came back for review during Pluto’s retrograde, and got the hints from the signs the universe has been sending will THRIVE in the beautifully balanced energy of October. For you all will be “ROCKTOBOER”. As a rule of thumb, unbalanced people don’t thrive in balanced energy, and balanced people do. And like I said, October is VERY balanced. I’m sure I’ll have my chuckles at some of the out of balance people around me in my life this month for sure.. lol
Either way we don’t control the energies that come in. And I will quote Bob Dylan by saying, “The times they are a’changin'”. But in fact they’ve already changed. As I said earlier we’ve been seeing “The World” card far too much lately in my readings. It’s the most powerful energy in the deck, and it shouldn’t come up as often as it has lately. That for ME… is a sign, and it should be for all of you as well.. The energy around us only provides an opportunity. An opportunity to succeed and grow, OR, to stay the same, OR fail. As always it’s up the superpower that makes us more powerful than Superman technically. And that superpower is …. you guessed it….. “freewill”. Not just a great song by “Rush”, it’s also the most misused tool in our personal arsenals most of the time.
September as I wrote about in my September 2023 write-up tried to teach us the balance between “desire” and “need”. And moreover the importance of what we “need” over what we “desire”. Most people lean more toward “desire” and when energy goes out of balance, nature tries to re-balance it. It does that by giving us signs and signals, sometimes obvious physical ones, aches and pains, or changing weather patterns etc., and sometimes more subtle ones, like random people saying things to you, or a wall you walk past with something painted on it that triggers you, or a feather find etc. Either way that’s what September was about as the lead-in to October’s rather powerful and balanced energy.
By contrast October will teach us in a way what we learned in that old margarine commercial from the 70’s. You know the one where they had the tagline “It’s not nice to fool mother-nature” and then lightening would go off, sort of like a Tower falling in a way I suppose. Well it’s true, and it applies to both life and margarine. My point is, I suspect most the population tried to fool mother nature in September and opted for “desire” over “need”. It’s human nature, and it’s what’s we usually do. You truly can’t fool mother nature, or the universe, or God, or whatever vernacular you’d like to insert. Of course most people try. But in the end you’re either being your true authentic self or you’re not. It’s a binary universe, there is no middle ground or gray areas. This for example is why we must be careful about what feelings we add to our manifesting requests or even prayers. A positive request can easily be read as a negative one by the universe by simply inserting a little fear into it, or doubt even. My point is, there is no such thing as being “sorta on the right path”, or “sorta in balance”. lol
Whether you “fooled mother nature” or didn’t in September, the incredibly balanced energy of October will offer you and all of us the opportunity several times throughout the month to get it right, to find some balance, to fix it, whatever “it” is, and get back on course, and onto the next chapter of our individual journeys through life. When you do that, you’ll find life runs much smoother for you. Certainly a hell of a lot more smoothly than it does when a bunch of Towers are falling around you. With October’s balanced energy, life should be smooth. It it’s not, simply look where it isn’t and address it.
When you live your life more in balance, i.e. more in-flow with the energies around you, you attract far better people and opportunities, and best of all, you build “real confidence” within yourself that comes from the soul, not the phony confidence of a narcissist or an ego based person which is just nonsense their brain tells them.
None of this means that your “desires” don’t matter. I don’t want anyone thinking that. Life is supposed to be fun. We all need to cut loose now and again. Even a diet should be in my opinion 80/20. 80% great, and 20% cutting loose. Balance doesn’t always mean 50/50, Some things weigh more than others and the fulcrum has to be moved a bit. My point is it’s never about “desire” vs. “need” in the extreme. It is always about a “proper” balance between the two. — Cheers…
