The month ahead: “March 2024”

March for me is always a wildcard month. We have a saying at my house, we say, “what will make March March this year?” We say that because sometimes good and sometimes horrible, something always happens in March. To be honest it’s usually something off-the-wall and weird. In actuality what makes March March at my house happens in the time-frame between February 20th thru April 20th technically, but March falls right down the middle of it, so we label it as such.

Maybe it’s the Equinox energy, yup that’s a big deal. The Equinox has 1 MAIN effect. It’s balanced energy. It’s about a 3 or 4 day period of it in fact. Most of us can feel it coming in some way in the 2 or so weeks leading up to it, and a couple weeks after it. Some suffer health issues during the equinoxes. Often but not always these people are fine during the solstice times, but during the equinoxes they suffer ailments of all kinds. Aches, nerve issue, stomach issues etc. etc. etc. Some are diagnosed with “Seasonal affective disorder”, which is a type of depression that happens around seasonal changes. all of these ailments are syndromes associated with changes in weather, season, pressure etc.

And all of the above IS true!! However, everything is energy, and that includes seasons and weather, and since I’m fairly in tune with energies I will tell from decades of deduction on my part that the equinoxes in particular are a useful tool for all of us. This is because the energy around us is perfectly balanced. SO… if YOU yourself are out of balance you will likely not have much fun existing and functioning within the balanced surrounding energies of the equinox. But this does make the equinoxes a great chance for you to find out just how balanced your own energy is or isn’t. And the way your body specifically responds to it can show you where specifically you’re out of balance, which in-turn offers you an “opportunity” to correct the issue(s). Sort of like the way a car’s emissions test report/print-out can tell you what needs tuning, and what’s working just fine.

Seasonal disorders and such aside, THIS March is VERY different from the first two months of 2024. Which might be very pleasing to many of you, myself included. January was a setup energy, February was an energy of depth and potential change with all its Aquarius energy and Piscean release towards the end of the month. March on the other hand as a month, as a block of time as we measure it is much what I would call the return of “youthful exuberance”. There’s some fun in it, if at the very least you can trust yourself and your instincts a bit.

The core energy of March 2024 outside of the equinox is fairly balanced in nature, not perfectly balanced but “fairly” balanced when compared to Jan and Feb for sure. However I think most other readers and even astrologers will focus on the Lunar Eclipse in Libra that this month offers up. Yeah, that’s important and it’s a cool and powerful energy of course, but actually it’s Jupiter in its own way that’s the star of the show in March for my money. It’s actually Jupiter’s influence that brings in that youthful energy, the return of some fun maybe, or at least some zest for life with a hint of curiosity and optimism. Lights at the end of tunnels will be seen for sure.

Pisces energy is strong this month for obvious reasons. But it’s not always accented and lifted up the way it is in this year’s Pisces season. Mercury begins the month in Pisces. Venus and Mars move into Pisces later in the month just as Mercury moves into RED HOT Aries. Couple all of that with a well placed in my humble opinion New Moon in Pisces and you’ve got some great creative and even dreamy energy.

All of that Pisces influence by itself would make for an okay month. BUT Pisces is ruled by Neptune. And Neptune is in Pisces at the moment. Jupiter is the largest planet in our solar system. It’s also by my read the 4th most powerful influence on us here on Earth energetically. And Jupiter is having some “FUN” this month. Hence the youthful nature of things. Jupiter the planet of expansion and “luck” as it’s often called by astrologers opens March in a big way. Early in the month which I’ll pull on of course it makes a semi-square to a very Picean Neptune. While this may cause us to question our dreams under normal circumstances, this year in March of 2024 it’s causing us to see that more is possible than we previously thought. Much the way a child sees the world except with some adult based reality attached to it.

As if THAT wasn’t enough later in the month just before the Lunar Eclipse in Libra Jupiter shows up again to have what I’m calling “semi-sex” with The North Node of destiny, (sometimes called The True Node). It’s actually a “semi-sextile” but I prefer to call it “semi-sex” because it’s hot energy this time around. What is semi-sex you might ask?? Well in teenage sex vernacular it’s a bit like getting to 3rd base, almost home-plate but not quite. This semi-sex-tile” expands the scope of our dreams and desires. The north node and Jupiter are both in Taurus at this time, which is a very practical and earthy energy for sure. But Jupiter fresh off its kiss with Neptune in Pisces adds an element of stepping outside one’s comfort zone into the mix. In other words not unlike a child, if it can be done, if there’s a snowball’s chance in a dream becoming a reality we’ll go for it. And because of Jupiter’s influence, we’ll succeed, as there is a lot of “luck” shall we say attached to Jupiter’s energy. Like I said, astrologers use the word “luck” to describe an aspect of Jupiter’s energy, but really it’s not luck, it just a protective energy type, one that often provides what some might call “last minute saves”. The Taurus energy should (notice I say should) keep reality in-check through it all, adding an element of balance to our youthful exuberance.

March 2024 will be a big month for me to pull readings on. I’m rather looking forward to it in fact. Not a difficult one to pull on by any means, it’ll be fun in many ways because there’s a lot less ego energy around. That lack of ego energy applies to the DM side of the soulmate cycle in a big way in the case of March 2024. It’ll likely reflect in everyone but especially on the DM side, as they’ll have less fear of failure, less fear of hurting the ever-precious ego.

March is a month that contains a lot of “magic” within it. Or at least it’ll seem that way. And that magic I think will translate into most of us, DM’s included, leaving the month seeing the world and maybe our lives through new eyes.

So enjoy the month. Enjoy the break from the heaviness of the previous two months. Dream a little dream, let down your hair, let down your outer grown-up a little bit, and let the youthful exuberance energies flow through you and around you.

I will also add that energy doesn’t follow our calendars. Yes I’m writing about March, but that doesn’t mean this all begins at the stroke of midnight on March 1st, and ends on March 31st. So let me just say that March 2024’s energy, i.e. what I’m writing about here doesn’t actually officially kick-in until around March 3rd. Which is not only my partner in crime and channel mascot Fleming (Flem) the Parrot’s 21’st birthday, it’s also the day that there is a last quarter moon which begins to usher in the moon energies of March, and along with that it’s also the day that Jupiter has its semi-square with dreamy Neptune and begins to make its mark on this very noteworthy month.

As for this month’s Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse on the 24th or 25th in Libra (depending on where you live). Yeah it’s an important and powerful energy that heralds in “Eclipse season”, but its lighting the way effect, and the intelligent clarity that it will bring to the party only serves to enhance what Jupiter is up-to this month, in my opinion of course. It’s an odd month where the eclipse is eclipsed by a much larger object in the sky. Others may disagree, and that’s fine, but it’s no coincidence that the eclipse is preceded by Jupiter’s semi-sex with the North Node of destiny. So however you want to slice it, this month’s eclipse is wrapped in destiny for sure.

No matter how you choose to look at the month energetically, the result is the same. It’s a dreamy month, that’s filled with real-deal magic, and a very strong youthful energy. Which anyone at any age will easily be able to take advantage of, and hopefully enjoy. Provided as always you flow with the energy and don’t fight the current… — Cheers
