The Month Ahead

June 2023 is all about TRUTH!! Well sort of… We’re actually being shown things that we thought were true, or actually believe are true, or once believed were true maybe, but we left in limbo so to speak. Whatever those things are, be it societal, or personal, those things, those “truths” are coming back up for review courtesy of Pluto and Saturn both going retrograde this month. The fact is the month of June isn’t really so much the month on our calendar, which is a shame because my month of June on my garage calendar is a very hot redhead. But I digress. No, June isn’t just the 30 days of June. Energetically speaking it’s actually the time between about the end of April, combined with all the energies of May, thru about the time the North Node changes signs into Aries on or around July 17th.
The month opens with a conjunction between Jupiter in Taurus and the North Node of destiny, also in Taurus (for now). This is an expansive energy that may make you feel that anything is possible, or may show you things are possible that you never dared imagine were possible. And that’s nice, especially if you’re waiting for a runner to show up or a new soulmate to come in because it makes the DF in particular quite approachable in the eyes of others. But it’s the other big news energies of June that quickly show up to bring reality crashing down a touch. It’s a bit like throwing a party and your parents show up and stick around.
The two primary astrological energies affecting June are Pluto retrograding back into Capricorn, and Saturn going retrograde in Pisces. The other big retrograde that will affect the rest of the year pretty much is Neptune going retrograde in Pisces, BUT that doesn’t happen until the very end of June, so it’s more of a July and the rest of the year influence per-say.
Pluto retrograding back into Capricorn brings back the typical silly chaos of Pluto in Capricorn. Shit that we’ve been dealing with since 2008 when everything in the world seemed to go catawampus on us. We can already see it happening in the world of politics if you watch the news. We’re all geared up in the USA for the silliness of a Twitter war between Trump and DeSantis, which I’m sure will get as cartoony as cartoony gets, with two guys that love power, and want to rewrite history taking shots at each other at the country’s expense. LOL.. Let the silliness begin I say, it’s fun to watch, but also pretty scary.
But as always with Pluto in Capricorn especially spinning backwards there’s a lesson attached. It’s about what I said in the opening paragraph of this write-up. The same applies in our own lives. It can be a car, a love, a job, a house etc. These things, these truths that we once believed in are coming back for review, for you to see in a new light maybe, but ultimately for you to find out if they’re still for you. Do you drop that job, do you flip that house, do you look for new love etc. It can also apply to truth we believe about ourselves. It’ll play out differently for everyone, and trust me it will be playing out globally in the societal energies. I’m not thrilled as someone sensitive to energies that Pluto is returning to Capricorn. I’ve enjoyed the respite over the few months of Pluto’s transit through Aquarius. Pluto reto back in Capricorn will cause us to re-examine a lot of ground we’ve already gone over and were hoping to be past by now. But Pluto retro in Capricorn provides an opportunity for us to see how much we’ve grown, and maybe grow a little more to prepare for its return to Aquarius in early 2024. Which can either end in shame, or celebration. It all depends on the conclusions we come to. And those are for the most part very person and specific for each of us. As always two rules apply. In society the rule of a chain is only as strong as its weakest links applies in a big way. In our lives the rule of using our free-will properly applies the strongest. We can always ignore these energies, and not change anything. Environmental energies only provide an opportunity as always. So we can choose to take it, or ignore it, also as always.
Which takes me to Saturn retrograde. Saturn retrograde usually sends the teacher out of the room and we get a break from the lessons and karma etc. BUT not this time!! This time it’s retro in Pisces and because of Pluto’s activity along with surrounding brand new cycles of environmental energies that have begun between the end of April and throughout May, the “teacher” the “taskmaster” i.e. Saturn is sticking around. It’s taking its lunch break IN the classroom instead of away from it as it normally would during a retrograde period. Thus not giving we the students the chance to screw around too much. Pluto and Saturn energies will be hand in hand, and side by side for most of their respective retrogrades. This should make the readings interesting to say the least as I’m sure the runners in the soulmate cycle will try albeit in vain to fight this energy.
But all of the above combines with an almost perfect blend of fire and air energies coming into play in June. In a car getting the fuel to air mixture just right is key to getting the most horsepower out of your engine. Well the same applies in the energies around us, and June is a near perfect mix of air and fuel i.e. fire. With a fiery Sagittarius full moon rocking our worlds, combined with the fire of the already smokin’ hot planet Venus moving into the fire energy of Leo things could get heated. Especially because of the high flow of air coming in with Mercury moving through Gemini energy, further fueled by a new moon in Gemini prior to it moving into the watery sign of this soulmate cycle’s host energy, “Cancer”. This will create a sobering reality effect, which could result in many of you receiving some long over-due apologies if you’re owed any by anyone.
As I said earlier the month ends with Neptune in dreamy Pisces going retrograde, adding an element of reality to things. It’s the energy that takes where we began the month with Jupiter and the North Node of destiny making anything seem possible, and dulls it down a bit to take us into the reality phase of the year which begins around mid-July.
That’s how I see the month anyway.. We’ll see how the readings play out. They might back me up, and they might not. Anything can happen in energies like the ones we’re living in beginning in June 2023. There’s no way to tell which way the wind will blow or change with 100% certainty. I wrote about that in my article in this blog on Heisenberg’s Uncertainty Principle. But as an energy guy I can tell you what an astrologer cannot. We are in June beginning to live in NEW core energy cycles. There are short cycles that have ended and new ones are now beginning and taking hold, and the astrology doesn’t account for these, so the rules that usually apply for certain astrological alignments may not apply as normal in these new cycles. The astrology as always pulls on the core energy that we live in, which is what I have to account for in the readings. But the astrology is only part of the story. The main story always lives in what kind of environmental energy cycles we’re living in, coupled with what free-will decisions we’re all making. Meaning how we’re behaving within those energies. And no one can predict free-will, not even the warlock on the hill. So June is my all bets are off month. In a big way it’s a whole new ball game where old rules may not apply and old truths may get moved to the lie column. As always my advice is to just enjoy the ride down the river of energy.
