The month ahead: “January 2024”

January opens with Jupiter our largest planet finally going direct. In fact we leave 2023 with this direct Jupiter energy. While this is a powerful influence and allows for more things to expand and grow in our lives, earthy Taurean things, it’s not the full story of January. And most of Jupiter’s influence is actually hidden and building under the surface as it picks up speed. January as I covered in my Q1 of 2024 reading is a setup time. It’s a time where there’s a band of what I would call boredom energy weaving around within it. Most people will just think nothing’s happening. But NOT all of you, because not unlike myself, you’ll know better. This boredom type energy is an illusion. There’s a lot going on under the surface, and this creates some nervous tension for us here on the surface. Things might feel weird or off, or like everything is going wrong sometimes. Nothing is going “wrong” if that happens to you. January 2024 is a setup the pins type energy as I said. And it’s an important month because it sets the stage for what’s to come as the year progresses. This isn’t always the case with January. Most years January is a month that by the time you get to July or so you’ve forgotten it, or what happened in it. For the past couple years this hasn’t been the case and this January is no exception.
Astrologically there’s a lot of big things actually happening. Mars is changing signs and Mercury goes direct on the 1st day in Sagittarius. It then re-enters Capricorn later in the month. Mercury’s energy is drenched in communication, so watch out for a lot of “they’re reaching out” readings from others on YouTube this month. It might seem that way, and they might just do it who knows. But Mercury’s energy is muted under the surface by what I’ll call some powerful energy under-currents that are in play.
Hands down the start of the astrological show this month is Pluto. Pluto re-enters Aquarius for a bit of a stay on January 20th, but this is a slow moving planet and the effects of this will be felt pretty much throughout the month, or at least from about the 10th onward. I wrote an article on Pluto in Aquarius and I even pulled a reading on it. Check them out, they’re both linked in this write-up. The themes covered will apply in January at a core level anyway. But for some of you that Pluto in Aquarius reading I did back in March of 2023 plays out this month in a big way.
All of the above being said, for the DF side of things, as has been showing up in recent readings, and if you watch the original Pluto in Aquarius reading from back in March you’ll see that your “EMPATHY” is your strongest ally in the energies of January 2024. That my friends is a FACT!!
This is a short write-up for me. There’s not a lot of reading here. Like I said, it’s a setup month, it has an element of boredom to it, and so does this write-up. I just flow with the energy. Use this time and your “empathy” wisely. You all have the potential in January of 2024 to learn not only who you really are on a high level, but also where you’re going. You can plot a course for the future, and make lasting changes if need be. The energy for that is all there.
To offer an analogy. Think of January 2024 as a day off from work. A day off that you hopefully use to get caught up on some chores and things that need to get done. If you put in the inner and outer work this month, it won’t seem all that long and boring to you. If you don’t, I promise with this energy, it’ll be a slog of a month. Because delays will happen, and people who might reach out might get sidetracked etc. Things may seem to go wrong, but if you give them a chance to play out and don’t over-react, you’ll find that they went wrong for a reason, and that reason sets up something else in the future. Again, it’s a “SETUP” month.
At the time of writing this I haven’t pulled the January overview reading. But I would guess that the DF side deals with and takes more advantage of this month’s energy than the more stubborn and fearful of change DM side will. It’s just a guess but I will say that the energy of January 2024 is better suited to higher vibrational (frequency) people. So if you have a super-fuck-wit that you’re waiting on, stop waiting. Take advantage of this month’s energy and use that empathy of yours to figure some things out, and more importantly get a little excited about what the near future may hold for you. For all of us really. But the year kicks into gear fast after its initial setup timeframe.
Fear not though. If the month does prove boring for you, it ends around the 27th or so with Uranus going direct in Taurus. So at the very least with Uranus going direct some spontaneity is returning for a little while as we move into February and through the year. — Cheers
