(A special SLT music post): As has become now a 3 year tradition, I’m offering up a guitar rocked out mangled up version of a classic holiday track. I do these all in good fun of course. This year it’s my take on the always classic “Chipmunks Christmas”. If you’re unfamiliar with the original song, and have never heard Alvin, Simon, and Theodore singing their Christmas hearts out, you can Google the original version as I’m sure it’s somewhere on YouTube. But hopefully you’ll also dig my version here as well.
My instrumental version of this classic offers a Dropped guitar tuning to give the rhythm some throat and depth, and a searing melody guitar accompaniment to compensate for my severe lack of cooperative chipmunks to join in.. Crank it up, enjoy it, and make sure you have a safe and fun holiday season.
