The month ahead: “September 2025”

To get the most out of September 2025 allow yourself to feel whatever you feel, without putting any restrictions on it, or making excuses for it to yourself or others. September 2025 is a month best summed-up as “a mix of dreams & emotions firmly grounded in reality by the unusually strong gravity of this year’s earthy Virgo baseline energy.”

Planetary highlights include New Moon lunar eclipse in Pisces, a Full Moon solar eclipse in Virgo, and a Uranus retrograde phase begins (usually about 5 months long).

The full write-up:

The entire month is sandwiched for the most part between two eclipses. One in dreamy Pisces and the other in earthy Virgo. But the Virgo New Moon and partial solar eclipse late in the month on the 21st is a two-fold energy as it’s tied back to the Virgo New Moon (without an eclipse) on August 23rd. This is kind-of rare. I call it a “ricochet energy” in that the New Moon and eclipse on the 21st of September bounces back to August 23rd and then in-turn bounces from there over to the Full Moon lunar eclipse in Pisces early in September. So energetically speaking it’s sorta like the Full Moon lunar eclipse happens twice. It’s tough to explain, September 2025 is unique for sure. It culminates with a solar eclipse which both ends a cycle and then reboots it briefly. It’s the usual taking care of old business in the lead-up to the equinox, but it’s as though this year we get to proof it, or do it twice, just make sure we got it right. By the way, this “ricochet” effect is a big part of what’s causing the illusion of a Mercury retrograde effect. i.e. people, things, & situations from the past returning. These kinds of triumphant returns will likely be happening throughout September. But if someone or something from the past does return in this energy, you be absolutely certain that you have either unfinished business or an unfinished lesson with it. Nothing in September’s energy will happen by “chance”.

Make no mistake, there’s no magic or hocus-pocus here. All of the above are just a quirks of the energies in-play, but it’s all pretty rare and pretty cool, so I thought I would mention it, because I’m probably the only one who actually crunches math on whiteboards on this stuff like some lunatic super-nerd.. lol

This little “ricochet” effect “quirk” within the energy is also a big reason why there’s so much nostalgia-type energies flowing through September. And maybe even more interestingly, it’s also why this month for SOME OF YOU may feel very long. Your perception of “time” might get warped a bit. It might be that the month of September feels like an entire year within itself for some of you. The last time this happened was March of 2020 by the way. That month for many felt very long, and it wasn’t just because of COVID and lockdowns. Those just made it worse and more difficult to deal with.

Please note however that your perception of “time” in September 2025 will depend on how perceptive you are to the passage of time normally. I myself am hyper-aware of the passage of time, it’s a by-product of my deep empathy, so for me this month will likely seem very long, and I’m well prepared for that. If you’re not someone who tracks cycles and you just sort of trot through your days, September may feel very normal in length to you “timewise”, BUT the energy may translate into an “emotional heaviness” that you can’t quite shake-off. So please be aware of that and don’t let it rattle you IF that happens.

All of the above being said, let me point out again what I said on a recent video. I usually DO NOT LIKE September. It’s the back-side of March, i.e. the “other equinox”. March is usually a chaotic energy, and so is September. I notice it year after year with each of these months being a lead-up to an equinox. With March having a vibe of new beginnings, and September having more of a wrapping of old business vibe. Which I feel strongly is because it shortly to the 11/11 portal energy, which of course is the energetic new year, and energetically the king of new beginnings for sure.

This year, September is pure magic. Eclipses aside, the Uranus retrograde is helping the Virgo baseline energies with the grounding aspect. Meaning, these powerful eclipse & Venus in LEO driven emotional energies wouldn’t be so easy to handle if Uranus was direct and random off the cuff things were popping-off left and right. Uranus retrograde tends to mellow things out. Opportunities still come, but you can usually prepare for them a bit more than when it’s direct. The tradeoff is we end up with about 5 months of relative predictability.

I’m not going to say too much more about September 2025. I don’t want the message I opened this article with to get lost in the shuffle. There’s a lot for me to pull on this month, and I’ll be quite busy taking all of you (and myself) through this energy. But I will say this. One thing you might find about September 2025 is the inherent increase in your EQ leads to better judgement-calls overall. Meaning, the decisions you make about your life and those you include in it come not only more easily, and smoothly, but you require less advice, less input from others. Which is always a good thing. Just like you shouldn’t watch too many tarot readings, as it’ll mess you’re head up with too many differing messages, you also shouldn’t have as they say, “too many cooks in the kitchen” with regard to your big life decisions. And September 2025’s energy WILL definitely help clear the kitchen out a bit.

There’s a quiet confidence to the incoming energy of September which I believe is tied in-part to the eclipses, but also a powerful trine between Jupiter in Cancer and the North Node of destiny in Pisces, which happens early in the month (and I’ll pull on it of course). Jupiter is always a big confidence provider. It’s a big planet, the largest in our solar system in-fact, and it’s known in our solar system as “the great protector”. But when it’s paired up in a nice alignment with our destiny in a dreamy energy like Pisces, the only thing that can happen is pure magic. Because in this energy, our dreams bring us comfort. In fact they almost seem real, and within reach, which also provides a bounty of hope as well.

That’s really all I want to say here about September 2025. It certainly should be a September you’ll remember. Of course I’m not a time-lord, so it may be your October, or November maybe. It depends where you are on your own personal timeline. Some people are get diverted in life more than others. And thus they have to backtrack and repeat mistakes in order to learn from them. And that obviously can put them behind the curve in the flow of energy. No one is the Warlock on the hill. Not me, not you. The river of energy flows on. I believe The Rolling Stones sang it best with, “Time waits for no one, no favors has he.“…

For most of you this month’s energy should play out through September, and bleed into early October, as energies almost never have a hard stop, there’s always some bleed-over. Having said that, I think it’s fitting for me to end this little article with a paraphrasing of where I began it. “September 2025 is a mix of dreams & emotions firmly grounded in reality.” That “reality” part is the key by the way. It’s what makes those “dreams & emotions” useful, and not just confusing highs and lows paired with pie-in-the-sky nonsense.
