This is a quietly slipped in secondary release, a B-side if you will, to my well publicized recent surf rock release “Surfing the Scorpio Moon”.
This song is called “Carbon“. Carbon elementally speaking is the building block of life. I composed and recorded this song 4 years ago and it in many ways represents a moment in time and a building block of a new era that began in my life at that time.
The song is a neo-classical influenced stadium rock piece at its core. It’s moody, with a positive, uplifting, & catchy chorus hook melody to it, which is done with slide-guitar in the case of this track. It’s of course a guitar-based instrumental, but music never requires lyrics. Music is emotion and mathematics in motion. Which is exactly what the universe is at its core.
