The month ahead: “August 2024”

August 2024 has the “potential” to be a month of fresh new experiences and even a few adventures along the way.  I say “potential” because all of these “new experiences” are actually quite subtle in August 2024’s energy.  Truthfully this energy or the subtle nature of it anyway will carry over well into September.  But since this is an August write-up we’ll keep it there.

So what do I mean by “subtle”??  Well, August is the “sum of its parts”.  Meaning, it may not be until the end of the month when you realize what a pretty cool or at least different month it has actually been.  It’s a month that’s basically a Tarantino movie in many ways..  lol

The physics on the “energy reader” Steve side of things are complex.  In a basic sense from about late July through August and into part of September there’s a fluctuation in polarity happening.  While this is pretty common and we encounter these from time to time, they’re usually quite predictable.  This month’s fluctuation is different.  This one is rare in that it’s a rather hyper-random fluctuation that flip-flops back and forth.  It’s what’s making the readings tricky lately, and we’ve only been in the lead-up to it.  (YIKES).  For reference we haven’t seen this type of random fluctuation in the core energy around us since late September through October of 2020.  At least that’s the last time I noted it.

Put simply, the fluctuation in polarity within the energy means that sometimes good things are good, and bad things are bad, i.e. things are what they seem.  But randomly throughout the month and into early September things that seem good will actually be not so good, and things that seem bad will actually be pretty good in the end.  And sometimes it’ll be difficult to tell which is which.

In tarot speak there’s a 7 of swords deception that will be prevalent in the energy.  Which by the way is what I’ve been warning fellow readers about, or trying to anyway on some of my recent readings.

Fancy talk aside, the best way for me to explain August’s energy to you is the way I might on a YouTube video.  On video I would probably use a metaphor, or an analogy of some kind.  So I’ll keep it simple and do that here.

August 2024’s energy is best described as a kid opening presents on Christmas morning.  Each present is always its own little adventure, and sometimes multiple presents tie together to make one big gift.  To offer a fitting analogy, August 2024’s energy reminds of when I was opening presents one Christmas morning and I found a real heavy one.  I was very excited.  I figured it was heavy so it had to be something awesome?!  So I tore into it..(sounds of paper tearing and flying everywhere), and much to my dismay….it was a very disappointing 24 pack of AA batteries..  At first I was disappointed, it was like opening a present and finding socks inside or some shit like that.  But I noticed that my parents seemed disturbed by me opening these batteries, they were almost disappointed in a way.  You see I was skipping around the gifts under the tree and was cherry-picking the ones I thought would be awesome.  My parents hadn’t counted on me approaching the gifts in this way, they had set them up so I would find the batteries last or near last at least.  So based on their reaction I figured these batteries must go to something pretty cool.  And I hoped I was right about that because if they didn’t I had a 24 pack of AA batteries which certainly wasn’t going to impress anyone at school.  In the end the very disappointing batteries were for a Sony Walkman, which were all the rage at the time.

So in August sometimes we get the shitty gift first.  It’s month where it’s best to not pre-judge pretty much anything that happens.

As for the astrological influences in-play in August.  Well the astrology is all laid out below in the month’s scheduled special readings, and of course I’m going to pull on those influences as we move through the month.  But just to touch on the astrological influences pulling on August’s powerful and chaotic core energies.  The month begins with a very adventurous New Moon in LEO and a Mercury retrograde which makes its way back to action taking LEO mid-month.  Also mid-month is a very powerful fist fight with Jupiter in Gemini having a VERY tense square with Saturn retrograde in Pisces.  Which to be honest is the “battery present” opening moment of the month for sure..  i.e. a moment or energy you shouldn’t pre-judge too much because it’s tied to something fantastic which will likely reveal itself in time.

Astrology aside, the main story of August 2024 lives in its core energy and how it’s flowing.  And my suggestion is that you approach the month the way I approached those presents on that Christmas morning.  The batteries may show up first, but so what, there’s more to come, and you likely won’t be able to piece the meaning of it all together until the end.  So chill, and don’t pre-judge.  Just enjoy the ride.

And a ride it is.  August 2024 is a month of fast forward movement.  Of deep realizations that sneak up on us which we can act upon swiftly.  A month that will have of of us seeing the world a new way and seeing situations and people for what they are, and in some cases for what they really mean to us.

Metaphorically speaking, there’s a lot of old energies coming together and resolving as they mix with newer energies flowing in.  There’s old cycles ending as we flow into September as new cycles bleed in and begin to take hold.

So in August keep opening those metaphorical presents as they flow in.  If you get a shitty one, just keep going.  I won’t lie to you there are at least a few shitty presents under August’s metaphorical Christmas tree.  Sorry but there has to be.  That’s life.  Life isn’t just light, it’s shade too, and both energies are always present, they actually need to be.  I mean for all the cool gifts I got as a kid, there was always some cleverly wrapped socks or underwear in the mix. But like I said before, don’t prejudge anything that happens in August, especially a shitty present.  Because that shitty present may just be the metaphorical batteries to something that you asked mom and dad (i.e. the universe) for a long long time ago.   — Cheers…
