The calendar year of 2025 ends on a verbally brave and FIERY note, with a now direct Mercury sliding into Sagittarius. Or, maybe “Sexittarius” as I like to call it sometimes. This bravery and fire could lead to some hot encounters in a back room at some holiday party. Either way, with Neptune going direct in Pisces early in the month in it’s last few months stay in the dreamy sign by the way. A chance to bring a few fantasies to life may just pop up out of nowhere. Especially with Uranus back in Taurus. And yes, Uranus is sliding backwards, so things are a bit less random, but Mercury in Sagittarius’ edge shall we call it, should more than make up for that. This year’s 12/12 portal energy is a bit of a double-edged sword. On one hand it blends with Mars to make short-work of tasks, on the other hand it’ll bite lazy procrastination hard.

The calendar year of 2025 ends with a surprisingly positive vibe. I say surprisingly because we’re heading deep into the 2026 “Mustard Rhino” energy (as I called it) as the month ends and we slide into the calendar year of 2026. It’s not that 2026 is going to be negative, but there is a strong need to “GET REAL” within the energy. And when we don’t, we’ll literally get energetically and likely physically punched for it, meaning our lives will be negatively impacted. Whether it’s in your personal or work life, or in the world at-large, in 2026 we have to ask on some level, how much we’re going to continue to let slide, and/or maybe even put up with.

A chance to bring a few fantasies to life may just pop-up out of nowhere. This is especially true with Uranus back in Taurus. Yes, Uranus IS sliding backwards, so things are a bit less random, but Mercury in Sagittarius’ edge shall we call it, should more than make up for a lazy Uranus energy.

The 12/12 portal energy, which is a real thing, and I’m always clear to point out isn’t ACTUALLY some magical portal that a fully nude Rainbow Bright riding a Unicorn flies out of occurs in the time period between around the 8th of December and the 16th of the December each year. This energy seems to be the best to make those famous new year’s resolutions. Usually as I say every year, if you wait until calendar’s new year’s eve on December 31’st the best energy is long gone by then.

So what’s this year’s 12/12 portal about? Well as always on the surface of it, it’s the time when what you manifested around the 11/11 portal, i.e. the energetic new year locks in, and in some cases can begin to take hold. So what’s special about 2025’s 12/12 portal?

Glad you asked… This year’s 12/12 portal as I interpret the energy is a bit of a double-edged sword. It’s an energy that loathes, and I mean absolutely fights against procrastination of any kind. If you’re a dilly dally type, or a sulker of any kind, this energy I’m sorry to say will likely make you pay for it in a big way. Now that I’ve warned you of its negative effects, I’ll say that on the POSITIVE side, the energy of Mars in Capricorn coupled with the New Moon in Sagittarius will combine neatly with this year’s 12/12 portal energy. This has the effect of making not only hard work kinda fun, but also oddly easy to accomplish. Usually when this type of energy is in play we become unusually focused. And normally when that happens we accomplish a lot. And I think based on this year’s specific energy, me saying “a lot” is a gross understatement.

That’s all I need to say about December 2025. This should be one of the most positive, straight-forward, and likely memorable Decembers in recent years. I checked my energy geek notebooks, and energetically the last time a December similar to this year’s happened was 2008, but I will add Jupiter wasn’t in Cancer then, so this year’s December may be a bit more emotional than that year’s. I have no additional data on this specific core energy recipe to track it back any further, but I can wager a “guess” that 1994’s December was likely pretty close based on what data I do have. Keep in mind I’m not talking about any specific astrology here other than mentioning Jupiter because it’s in the sign of the current soulmate cycle, which makes it a little special this year. My notebooks are about core energies. So I’m commenting on the core energies themselves and the 12/12 energy’s interaction with them. But I do account for planetary alignments, as they do pull on this energy and cause it to behave in certain ways.

So if something about this December reminds you of either of those two years, 2008 and maybe 1994, this is why. And as I often say, things don’t play out exactly as they did. You can’t be literal with these things. When cycles come back around things do repeat but they change based on the alignments in play at the time. We’re talking about a vibe here, that’s all.

And if you weren’t born yet in either of those years, 2008 or 1994…. Well, fuck you for being so young,,, lol… and I suggest you just enjoy the ride this year. I only mention it as a novelty and a little added bonus from my energy geek notebooks anyway. All energies repeat on a set pattern or cycle. Sometimes it’s a short cycle and you can track it quickly and easily, and other times you have to wait decades to deduce a cycle.

In the meantime, enjoy the ride that December 2025 offers. It should be a brave, passion-filled, positive, and fun energy. Unless as I said you’re lazy, or you for some reason just want to be alone. Being alone is fine if you’re having fun, and that’s your thing. I can dig it, I myself prefer to be alone much of the time, other people’s energy is draining to me. BUT, if you’re not a true loner, fake-ass loner energy can turn to dangerously lonely quite easily in this energy, for reasons I’ve already stated. So if you must be alone this holiday season, make sure that’s what you truly want, and if it’s not, try to at least get out of the house and be around other people, or go out in nature if you’re into animals. In Tokyo, (and across Japan actually), they do KFC for Christmas. So go do that…. lol

Jokes aside, this month’s energy will offer up a shit-ton of positive drive and focus. Your best bet, and my best advice to you, is to use it…
