Typically, August runs as a transition month to lead us to September’s Equinox based energies. In 3D life speak it’s the month the kids have to back to school. So, in a way even though it’s still Summer, in fact mid-Summer, August is sometimes kinda shit… This year, that’s not the case. I mean yeah, the kids still have to go back to school and yeah, it’s still leading us into September’s (wake me up when September ends) Equinox energies. But this year in August 2025 there’s a lot more emotion and passion to make changes and get things moving in the energy. The energy itself contains all the emotional smarts you’ll need. So, it’s all kind of effortless too.

Planetary highlights include Lion’s Gate Portal, a powerful Full Moon in Aquarius, The New Moon in Virgo, and Venus in Cancer & LEO.

While August 2025 isn’t ALL about Lion’s Gate, this year’s Lion’s Gate portal energy is quite potent and does dominate the month for sure. So first I should explain what Lion’s Gate energy is and offer some timeframe for it.

Lion’s Gate energy technically runs for usually about 2 weeks typically beginning in late July. This year it begins around the 27th or 28th of July and will dissipate out (fade away) by around the 12th of August or so. The energy peaks down the middle of this on or around the 8th of the month. Hence the 8/8 portal moniker.

The Lion’s Gate is the moment where the Sun in Leo aligns with Sirius, Orion’s Belt, and Earth. This happens when Sirius “rises” or becomes visible because of the Sun’s yearly crossing of the star. As for why Sirius is a a big deal or matters in all this. Well, it’s not just a satellite radio company. Sirius (the Alpha star of the Canis Major constellation) is the brightest star in the sky. It’s astrologically considered to be a spiritual sun. So Lion’s Gate in effect is like two Suns acting upon one another.

Having said all that, I feel a bit like the Warlock on the hill. lol Soooo… let me get back to being ME and simply say that this year’s Lion’s Gate portal is about drawing a line in the sand. Now I’ve mentioned that on a few recent readings. But I also said I needed some time to analyze the energy to figure out what kind of line exactly. We’ve actually been seeing hints of what this line in the sand may be in some of the recent readings.

It turns out, and the best I can figure is the line we’re drawing in the sand under 2025’s Lion’s Gate energy is one of toleration. Specifically, it seems to be what we will no longer tolerate EMOTIONALLY!! And yeah, that’s in all caps on purpose!! We’re drawing great big lines in the sand specifically for “emotional” treatment we will no longer tolerate. This could be for the way we treat ourselves, and/or the way others treat us. In either case, because this is such a powerful “dual Sun” type energy, once the line is drawn, there’s NO GOING BACK. No takebacks with this energy for sure.

Most of us talk about a big game all the time about things we’ll no longer tolerate. Yet human nature is to blow-off dealing with tough issues, especially emotional ones, and continue on tolerating them. The energy of August 2025 will not allow for such procrastination. This year’s Lion’s Gate is a very ACTION oriented energy for sure…

So that’s the main vibe for the first half of the month. And this energy is also why I pulled the Venus in Cancer reading a week prior to Venus actually going into Cancer. I needed to get a feel for it, as it plays the role of the emotional leading energy in the 2-week mini-series drama that is Lion’s Gate 2025.

In the second half of August, the New Moon in Virgo will set new projects, goals, and/or relationships in motion. Venus’ move to LEO will add a little passion to Virgo’s practicality. Together the two energies actually blend quite nicely especially as the Sun (actually the Earth) moves into Virgo. This will help keep LEO Venus in-check so that the passions don’t get too out of hand and end up hindering the practicality. It really is a great time to get anything new off the ground. Even a new hobby will fare well in this energy combo, especially if it’s of a creative nature.

Also, in August 2025 you’ll notice in the reads section of this article below that Saturn, Neptune, Uranus, and Pluto are all having SEX-tile with one another. A little “planetary wife-swapping” of sorts. These sextiles make up two separate events that I’ll be pulling on as “A reading with ME” type format. These are important energies that really put all of us on the right track as far as aligning with our true purpose, but for many these SEX-tiles will offer a chance to feel better about life itself and the direction we’re heading in. Ultimately these sextiles are very beneficial, and I’ll do my best to guide you through them and help you get the most out of them.

To add one final note here on August, which for most of us is a summer month, but I do realize that for my southern hemisphere readers it’s the middle of fucking winter for you. However, I’m in California so I’ll talk about what I know. Typically, each year August runs as a transition month to lead us to September’s Equinox based energies. In 3D life speak it’s got a party’s-over vibe to it. It’s the month the kids have to back to school etc. So even though it’s the middle of Summer still, August most years kinda sucks ass. But this year, that’s not the case. I mean yeah, the kids still have to go back to school and yeah, it’s still leading us into September’s (wake me up when September ends) Equinox energies. But this year in August 2025 there’s a lot more emotion and passion to make changes and get things moving in the energy. The energy itself contains all the emotional smarts you’ll need. So even if you yourself have zero passion, the month will have it for you. So, it’s all kind of effortless.

That said, enjoy the month… I certainly plan to.
